The library of the Faculty of Philology at the University of Lodz was created by combining the respective book collections of former libraries: Polish studies, modern philology, literary theory and librarianship.
The lending library and reading room are located on the 1st floor of the Faculty building. The library offers students and academic staff access to over 270,000 volumes. Members of the Faculty’s academic community can also use the book locker located on the ground floor (side entrance near the porter's lodge), which allows taking out and returning books without visiting the library in person.
