PARKING REGULATIONS FOR EMPLOYEES AND GUESTS OF THE FACULTY OF PHILOLOGY

§ 1

The Rules and Regulations specify the rules for using the unguarded car park by employees and guests of the Faculty of Philology of the University of Lodz.

§ 2

1. In order to use the car park referred to in § 1, an employee of the Faculty of Philology must have an entry remote control issued by an employee of the Administration Department of the Faculty of Philology.

2. The remote will be issued on the basis of an application sent by e-mail to parking.filologia@uni.lodz.pl and confirmation of employee status from the secretariat of the given institute or department.

3. The car park regulations and the application form are available on the website of the Faculty of Philology (filolog.uni.lodz.pl).

4. Upon receipt of the remote, the employee receives the present regulations for review and signs a statement of acceptance of their terms and conditions.

5. An employee is entitled to have only one remote.

6. It is forbidden to pass the remote to third parties.

7. The remote does not entitle you to use the student car park, which is intended for students of the Faculty of Philology (entrance from Debicha Street).

8. The conditions for use of the car park referred to in paragraph 1 by a ‘Guest’ include a meeting with a member of staff of the Faculty, or the organisation of events, conferences or other celebrations at the Faculty. Entry to the car park will be possible after contacting the reception staff via the intercom located on the entry barrier.

§ 3

1. The car park is secured by an entry barrier, available 24 hours a day, and unguarded;

2. Having a remote allows you to leave your vehicle in the car park provided that there are free parking spaces.

3. Traffic regulations apply on the car park premises.

4. The users of vehicles in the car park are liable for any damage resulting from their movement on the car park, in accordance with the rules of generally applicable laws;

5. Owners and users of vehicles leave them in the Faculty car park at their own risk and the manager is not responsible for damages resulting from events beyond their control.

6. The car park is equipped with a monitoring system; CCTV recordings of the parking lot and the adjacent area may be made available to law enforcement agencies upon their written request and serve as evidence in a case, in the event of a connection between the case and possible incidents in the parking area.

7. Drivers of vehicles are required to park in designated parking spaces.

8. In the car park it is categorically prohibited to:

  • Stop and park the vehicle on access and fire roads and other places where said vehicles may prevent or impede the passage of emergency services and police cars.
  • Park in passageways, places clearly marked as prohibited from parking, access roads, fire roads marked as such and park in a way that prevents or impedes free entry and exit of other users of the car park or causes obstruction or danger to traffic.
  • Smoke and use naked flames, drink alcohol, store fuels, hazardous substances and empty containers, refuel and repair vehicles, leave vehicles with the engine running.
  • Leave the vehicle for longer than 48 hours.

§ 4

1. The car park for employees and visitors of the Faculty of Philology is an unguarded car park and the Faculty of Philology is not responsible for any damage caused to vehicles or their equipment by third parties or force majeure.

2. The Faculty of Philology may - without prior notice to holders of entry remotes - limit or exclude the availability of the car park, in particular in connection with renovation works or the organisation of outdoor events.

§ 5

If an employee is found in violation of the provisions of these Rules and Regulations, the administrative department of the Faculty of Philology may deactivate the entry remote control.

§ 6

Upon termination of the employment relationship, the remote must be returned to the administrative department.
