Studenci przed wydziałem

Welcome, one and all! 👋

It’s good to finally see you – we’ve been waiting all summer!

We know that beginning your studies at uni is an exciting experience. Making friends, discovering the secrets of the world of science and building up your first professional networks – ahead of you is a very special time which will allow you to develop your interests and passions. By the time you graduate, you’ll be serious grown-ups, specialising in the area you will have perfected over the many years of your study…

What about now, though?

Now, the world of academia may be completely new to you, and some of its more formal aspects may seem a little bit overwhelming. Where do you get your student ID? Where do you apply for a scholarship? How do you find the right lecture hall in a big building with so many rooms? 😰

We understand that you may have a lot of questions at the beginning of your studies at the Faculty of Philology, so we have prepared answers to most of them!

To start with, read the Freshman Guide. The information you will find here will help you get through the first months of your studies. You’ll get to know the faculty from behind the scenes – find out how to move around the building and where to park your car. You’ll find out what the student quarter-hour is and where are the best places to get a coffee or have some lunch. 😉

Be sure to take the Freshman Challenge, prepared by us in the form of a checklist. Completing each of the 7 steps of the challenge will help you make sure that you’ll be well prepared for your first days at uni.

Ready to start this new, exciting chapter of your life? 🚀
